Garry

GARRY SCARBOROUGH

Director and General Manager
Garry has 25 years’ experience in the construction industry in New Zealand, Australia and Asia. He started as a cadet with Fletcher Construction in 1979, then worked with Beca Carter before being employed in Australia and Asia by the Concrete Construction Group.

Peter

PETER DE NYS

Director and Construction Manager
Peter initially trained as a carpenter and is now respected as a leading project manager in the construction industry. He has worked on developments of all types and scales, both in New Zealand and in the UK.

PETER DAVIS

Director and Commercial Manager
Twenty years’ experience across New Zealand and Australia, in both corporate and construction roles, has given Peter a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and all its requirements. He brings a background in quantity surveying and project management to all Scarbro projects.

BRETT MCGRATH

Finance, Administration & Safety Manager
Brett McGrath joined the Scarbro team in June 2016. He is a Chartered Accountant with 15 years’ experience in Public Practice and Commercial Accounting environments.

Piers

PIERS HOLLIS

Estimating Manager
Piers has 20 years’ experience in the construction industry both in NZ & the UK.

Piers initially joined Scarbro in 1997 where he gained most of his training before leaving to go to the UK. His experience there was on large commercial projects in London ranging from £20 to £50 million. During this period Piers was heavily involved in the administration of subcontract packages from procurement to completion.

On re-joining Scarbro in 2003 he was responsible for the administration of numerous large scale projects including apartment buildings and commercial office developments.

In 2008, Piers took on an estimating role and in 2014 took over as Estimating Manager for the company.

LACHLAN

LACHLAN COLLETT

Project Manager – Wellington
Lachlan Collett is the Project Manager for 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington Project. Lachlan joined Scarbro in 2016, with 12 years’ experience in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager. He has National Diplomas in Quantity Surveying, and Construction, and has achieved numerous qualifications in Project management, Site Safe leadership, Construction Law, Risk Management and is a Green Star NZ Accredited professional.
Projects he has previously worked on have been; Pipitea Plaza – $55 (Master Builders Gold Award), School of Hospitality – $22m ( Master Builders Silver Award) and Te Papa Museum Projects, including most recently Te Papa Gallipoli, involving Weta Workshop – $1.5m.

Caine Penny

CAINE PENNY

Design Coordinator
Caine joined the Scarbro team in 2013 and brings with him a wealth of practical knowledge and expertise in design management and co-ordination.

Caine is involved in each of our projects assisting our site based teams with project delivery. He oversees complete shop drawing reviews and cross-trade coordination, including with consultants.

One of Caine’s strengths is to identify and offer up buildability and methodology solutions.

He has a Bachelor of Building Science and a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
